Hospitals Race the Clock to Prepare Negative Pressure Rooms for COVID-19 Victims

Given the increasing number of patients contracting COVID-19, the medical system is, and will continue to be, in dire need of COVID-19 treatment rooms in their existing facilities. Most hospitals, small and large, have some form of negative pressure space. But a pandemic with a fast-spreading mystery virus has meant many facilities are having to come up—quickly—with more places to keep the COVID patients safely isolated.

ASHRAE, “a global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment”, has developed proactive guidance to help address (COVID-19) concerns with respect to the operation and maintenance of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems.

We at Moses stand ready to respond to this need using ASHRAE’s guidance as well as our own extensive experience with rapid response engineering projects.
